In the wake of the growing recognition of the importance of bringing the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) 2030 to the local level, the capacity building of local actors has been recognized as a critical component of the localization agenda.

Therefore, local role players must act as the drivers of sustainable development, fostering and facilitating increased community engagement and accountability in the design management and delivering effective people-centered response programs to meet the “ leaving no one behind” principle.

Thus, it is paramount for local organizations to strengthen a robust governance foundation to carry out their mission.
